The Gallery at Julia’s Tea Room is delighted to host work from local print maker, James Lord
James Lord was born on the Isle of Wight and gre up in Yarmouth enjoying a childhood spent sailing on the River Yar and swimming off Sandhard Beach. After gaining a BA Hons degree at London College of Printing he worked as a graphic designer in London for over 10 years. In 2002 James returned to live and work in the island.
James Lord’s work is inspired by journeys by bicycle, boat and on foot. It captures glimpses, views and moments in time that reflect the different season with changing light and colours. Prints have a screen printed style,bold black colours, line drawn details and batlik like textures.
All the prints in this exhibition are available to buy and take away the same day, more prints available in our giftshop.
