He has just released two critically acclaimed solo albums, Testimony (solo cello) and Hertitage (solo kora) as part of a 21 day musical experience where he performs in 21 cities in 21 days.
Tunde Jegede is one of the worlds’s foremost kora players and a cellist who performs his distinct and original compositions. His music has been performed all over the world in concert halls such as Carnegie Hall (New York), Royal Albert Hall (London), and the Basilique (Paris) by international orchestras and artists including; Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Philharmonia, London Sinfonetta, Brodsky Quartet, Smith Quartet, Oumou Sangare, Toumani Diabate and the Pan African Orchestra. A renaissance man of the harp-lute, he is also a world-reowned producer and songwriter who brings a new vision to contemporary African and Western music and his work is a unique synthesis of classical, jazz and traditional music.
